PureFact is an independent journalism platform dedicated to verified reporting and global accessibility. These editorial guidelines protect both contributors and platform integrity.

All contributors commit to:

  • Verifying information prior to publication

Ethical Framework

We expect adherence to established journalistic standards:

  • Accuracy, balance, and contextual integrity
  • Independence from political, financial, or ideological pressure
  • Accountability for all published material
  • Harm reduction for sources and subjects
  • Transparency in sourcing and methodology

We recommend the SPJ Code of Ethics as a foundational reference.

Content Standards

Accepted Content

✅ Photo essays and multimedia stories
✅ Long-form and in-depth features

To maintain quality and prevent spam:

  • Maximum 3 non-citation links per article
  • Links must add editorial value
  • ❌ No affiliate, referral, or scheme links
  • Links must serve the story, not promotion

Media Policy

Video

  • ❌ No direct video uploads (resource limits)
  • ✅ Embed from trusted platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
  • Videos must be contextually relevant

Images

  • ✅ Only upload media you own or are licensed to use
  • Attribution required when applicable
  • Recommended file size: under 5MB

Prohibited Content 🚫

❌ Plagiarism or copyright violations
❌ False or deliberately misleading information
❌ Hate speech, harassment, or threats
❌ Promotional content disguised as journalism
❌ Malware, exploits, or harmful code
❌ Source agreement violations
❌ Publishing private information without consent

Account Governance

PureFact may:

  • Restrict or suspend accounts
  • Remove content that violates standards
  • Act immediately in cases of severe misconduct

Enforcement may occur due to:

  • Repeated violations
  • Proven false reporting
  • Harassment or abuse
  • Platform manipulation or resource abuse

Editorial actions are content-based, not ideology-based.
